Why not Bitwarden, 1Password or Dashlane?
All are excellent products. However, they have three structural drawbacks for a French organisation:

How much does LockSelf cost?
LockSelf is billed per user per month, but the price depends on three variables: the modules selected (LockPass, LockTransfer, LockFiles), the number of users (tiered volume pricing), and the plan (Starter, Premium, On-Premises). LockSelf applies a 20% discount on each additional module added.
Minimums: Starter from 2 licences, Premium from 25 licences, On-Premises from 50 licences. A 14-day free trial with no commitment is available.

How long does a deployment take?

What is the real difference compared with Bitwarden or 1Password?
Bitwarden and 1Password are excellent tools, but:
- Foreign hosting (USA) → subject to the Cloud Act
- No ANSSI certification → a blocker for public procurement, healthcare and defence sectors
- HDS compliance not native
For a French organisation with no data sovereignty requirements, free Bitwarden is perfectly adequate. For organisations handling sensitive data or public contracts, LockSelf is the right choice. We will advise you honestly based on your situation.
Can we host LockSelf on our own infrastructure (On-Premises)?
Yes — that is the On-Premises plan: LockSelf is deployed on your own servers (Docker) or on a sovereign cloud of your choice, from 50 licences. It adds subsidiary-level segmentation, full IT system integration (SSO, API, SIEM/SOC), SSH key management, and high availability (BCP/DRP). This plan is designed for healthcare organisations, financial institutions, local authorities, and OES/OIV entities. We assess your infrastructure and compliance requirements with you before any commitment.
What happens if LockSelf ceases to exist?
Your data can be exported at any time in standard formats (JSON, CSV) — this is also your right to data portability (GDPR Art. 20). In the cloud, data is hosted in France (Scaleway or Outscale) and encrypted with zero-knowledge encryption: LockSelf cannot read it. With On-Premises, your data remains entirely on your own infrastructure. As a precaution, we set up regular exports as part of our support service, so you remain independent of any single vendor.
